Key responsibilities

- The Community Partnership Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the Community Service program, leading a team of Case Officers and developing productive and sustainable stakeholder relationships with community agencies that promote rehabilitation and community connection for young people.
- Manage the Community Service and Partnerships stream for the area, overseeing a team of case Officers, enhancing development and providing professional supervision.
- Prepare reports and briefings; review court reports and endorse court reports, advice and recommendations.
- The Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice)



is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focusing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime.

What you need

- Advanced understanding of the criminal justice system as it relates to young people, best practice case management principals and philosophy underpinning relevant legislation.
- Ability to build relationships with various community groups and community service providers to develop partnership strategies.
- Strong leadership capability in an operational setting, including staff management, service delivery and governance practices.
