This is a full-time, fixed-term role until the end of June 2027 with the possibility for extension.

About the Role

As an AOD Client Case Worker, you will provide culturally protected, strengths-based support to First Nations participants aged 15 years and over across Bundaberg and surrounding communities.

Working alongside participants, you’ll help identify goals, overcome barriers and connect with services that support recovery, wellbeing, cultural connection and self-determination.

What You Will Be Doing

- Building trusted relationships with participants, families, Elders and community stakeholders.
- Conducting assessments and developing individual support plans.
- Providing advocacy, referrals and service navigation.
- Supporting participants to access health, housing, community and recovery services.
- Monitoring progress and adapting support to meet changing needs.
- Developing local referral networks and community partnerships.
- Undertaking outreach and participant engagement activities.
- Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reporting requirements.

You will have:





- Experience supporting First Nations peoples using culturally safe and person-centred approaches.
- Experience in case management, service navigation, outreach or community services.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Blue Card and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.

You may have:
- Qualification in Community Services, AOD, Mental Health, Social Work or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and recovery support.
