In the role of Senior Advisor (Safer Speed), you will be responsible for researching, analysing, developing, implementing, interpreting and providing timely advice or recommendations on issues, policies, projects or legislation related to road safety, to enable the delivery of Government, departmental and divisional objectives. You will also contribute to a significant and challenging program of road safety project and policy work with state-wide and national impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

The purpose of the Senior Advisor (Safer Speed) is to develop strategic policy, undertake research and deliver initiatives and projects aligned with TMR strategic direction supporting Queensland's road safety initiatives.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the development of strategic policy by conducting evidence-based research and analysis to develop sound recommendations which are consistent with government and departmental priorities and strategic directions.




- Establish and manage projects and contracts to meet organisational objectives and for successful delivery of the Camera Detected Offence Program, including responsibility for risk management, procurement, reporting, governance, financial and stakeholder deliverables.
- Build and maintain effective networks and relationships which facilitate engagement, negotiation and consultation with government agencies, industry, community and other stakeholders.
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team workplace while being personally responsible for delivering agreed outcomes, modelling high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour, and actively contributing to corporate and divisional goals.
