We are seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Amputee and Trauma Rehabilitation Ward. In this leadership role, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward/unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and fostering a positive team culture. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse looking to advance their leadership career while continuing to provide exceptional clinical care.

The successful applicant works with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide effective leadership and efficient management of the designated area of specialty in line with the Fiona Stanley Hospital strategic direction. The ANUM works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired outcomes in the patient population requiring rehabilitation management and care. As a senior nurse the ANUM has professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and provides mentorship and role modelling for nurses and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in the operational management of the unit.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
- Coordinate patient care activities to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
- Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, staff education, and professional development.
- Monitor and maintain clinical standards, policies, and accreditation requirements.
- Act as Nurse Unit Manager in their absence, as required.




- Foster a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment focused on excellent patient outcomes.

FSH also delivers highly specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and hyperbaric medicine.
