The Role
As the APS 6 Configuration Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operational capability of Patrol Boat Group by ensuring the integrity, accuracy and governance of configuration management activities. Working collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, logistics, safety and industry stakeholders, you will coordinate the assessment, approval and implementation of engineering changes across the fleet.

You will manage configuration baselines, technical records and information systems, ensuring compliance with Defence policies, standards and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for administering configuration governance forums, providing configuration advice, conducting assurance activities and maintaining the traceability of configuration data throughout the capability lifecycle.

This position requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical skills and sound judgement to manage complex issues and support informed decision-making. You will contribute directly to the sustainment, safety and operational effectiveness of one of Navy's key maritime capabilities.

About our Team
Patrol Boat Group (PBG) operates within Navy Surface Force and is responsible for the command, operation and sustainment of the Evolved Cape Class Patrol Boat fleet. Based at Patrol Boat Group Headquarters, the team supports a wide range of operational, engineering, logistics, governance and business functions that contribute to the delivery of maritime security, border protection and national defence outcomes.
