Hourly rates (AUD):

- Monday–Friday: $45

- Weekend shifts and rates (Saturday and Sunday): to be discussed.

About the role

Sydney6Care is seeking an experienced, patient and reliable support worker to assist an adult with higher daily care needs near Chatswood.

High care, complex care and hands-on hoist experience are essential, together with strong English communication skills and the ability to speak Chinese.

Essential requirements

- Strong English communication skills and the ability to speak Chinese, read care instructions and complete written progress notes in English.

- Previous hands-on high care experience and experience supporting people with complex care needs are essential.

- Practical experience safely using hoists and related transfer equipment is essential, along with familiarity with safe manual handling, transfers and positioning.

- A patient, attentive and reliable approach, with a willingness to learn and follow established care routines.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, First Aid and CPR certificates, and Australian work rights.

- A valid ABN and the ability to travel regularly to the Chatswood area.

Applicants with an AIN, hospital care assistant or overseas nursing background who meet these essential requirements are also welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities





- Assist with daily living and personal care in accordance with the individual care plan.

- Use hoists and related transfer equipment to assist with safe mobility, transfers, positioning and daily activities in accordance with the individual care plan and protected manual handling procedures.

- Observe the person's wellbeing and promptly report changes to the family and care team.

- Complete accurate progress notes in English and communicate clearly with the family and team.

- Follow infection control procedures, maintain professional boundaries and protect privacy.

All duties must remain within your confirmed competency and the individual care plan.
