About the role
We are seeking a Bedding Sales Consultant to join our team at our Victor Harbor store on a casual basis. In this role, you will be the face of Forty Winks, providing expert guidance and exceptional service to customers seeking quality bedding solutions. You will play a vital part in creating a positive shopping experience whilst driving sales and building lasting customer relationships. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment within the beautiful Victor Harbor community.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their bedding needs through engaging conversation
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations based on customer preferences, budget and sleep requirements
- Demonstrate mattresses, pillows and other bedding products to highlight key features and benefits
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Maintain an organised and visually appealing store display
- Answer customer enquiries about product specifications, warranties and delivery options
- Achieve sales targets whilst maintaining focus on customer satisfaction
- Support store operations including stock management and restocking shelves
- Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals
What we're looking for
- Previous retail sales experience, ideally in bedding, furniture or a similar customer-facing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
- Enthusiasm for learning about bedding products and sleep wellness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail setting
- Excellent numerical skills for processing transactions and managing cash
- Flexibility to work casual hours including evenings and weekends as required
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Physical capability to demonstrate products and move stock safely
