The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Entry to Practice Mental Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Maintain and role model advanced person-focused, evidence-based care and education
- Support the development of clinical specialty knowledge, skills and judgement in team members through direct and indirect supervision
- Facilitate strategies to endgender staff engagement with consumers in shared decision making relevant to the consumer's care and health literacy
- Participate in activities advocating for nursing and midwifery education
- Conduct research to generate new knowledge and apply research to assist in the development of evidence- based policies and procedures

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for current employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time

- $114 532 - $122 643 per annum (permanent full time)

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit drives the development of an appropriately skilled nursing and midwifery workforce to deliver evidence-based, person-focused care to our community. The unit is led by the Director of Nursing, Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit, and sits within the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience.

There are over 70 nurses in Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit, each aligned to one of four portfolios:

- Entry to Practice
- Education Programs
- Research and Administration
- The GCH Respirator Fit Testing Service
