About Waverley Forklifts

Waverley Forklifts is an independently Australian-owned business with a history spanning over 50 years. We have grown to become one of Australia’s largest fully independent forklift and transport companies, specialising in forklift rentals, equipment servicing, equipment sales and machinery transport, with an established branch network across Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our Transport team at our Mount Waverley Head Office.

The Role

Reporting to the National Transport Manager, you’ll work as part of a two-person coordination team responsible for the daily running of our Victorian transport operation.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our trucks, drivers and customer movements running safely and efficiently, working closely with drivers, customers and teams across the wider Waverley Forklifts business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating daily truck and driver movements to maximise fleet efficiency

- Planning loads and allocating work across the fleet

- Maintaining regular communication with drivers, customers and internal teams throughout the day

- Monitoring schedules and responding to changing priorities, delays and customer requirements

- Maintaining accurate job and scheduling information within our system, Baseplan

- Ensuring driver documentation, pre-trip inspections, timesheets and proof of delivery requirements are completed

- Coordinating fleet repairs and maintenance with the National Transport Manager

- Providing a high level of service to internal and external customers

- Supporting driver compliance with safe work practices and relevant heavy vehicle and WHS requirements

The Right Person for the Role





Transport rarely goes exactly to plan, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, calm under pressure and good at finding solutions.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous transport coordination, allocation or scheduling experience

- Knowledge of machinery transport, loading and restraint practices highly regarded

- Good knowledge of Melbourne metro and surrounding regional areas

- Strong customer service and communication skills

- The confidence to communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams

- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Sound computer skills and the ability to confidently learn our operating systems

- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a small coordination team
