Fido Finance is entering an exciting stage of growth. We're growing our broker team, expanding our Digital capability and investing in the technology, data and customer acquisition engine that will support the next chapter of Fido. And our website sits right at the centre of it.

We're looking for a technically minded SEO & Web Specialist to join our growing Digital team and work closely with our Head of Digital. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves making websites faster, cleaner, easier to find and better at converting traffic into customers.

And there's plenty to build.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Fido's web environment is evolving, including the transition from our current WordPress environment toward a new Sanity-based website architecture. You'll play an important role in that evolution while owning the technical health and organic visibility of Fido's web presence.

You’ll be required to:

- Own day-to-day technical SEO and website health.

- Support Fido's WordPress → Sanity website transition from an SEO and web-performance perspective.

- Identify and resolve crawl, indexing, canonical, redirect and technical SEO issues.

- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.

- Work with Google Search Console, GA4, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand search and website behaviour.

- Implement and validate structured data and schema.

- Build and optimise pages using modern CMS environments.

- Work with Cloudflare and Fido's broader web infrastructure where required.

- Conduct competitor, keyword and search-opportunity analysis.

- Help Fido improve visibility across both traditional search and emerging AI search/answer engines.

- Explore AEO/GEO opportunities and monitor how Fido appears across platforms such as Google AI Overviews and leading generative AI tools.





- Work closely with Digital, content and external partners to get improvements from idea → build → test → live.

WHO YOU ARE

You're probably the person who notices a broken redirect, slow-loading page or messy schema implementation before anyone else does. You like understanding why something isn't performing — and then fixing it.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- 3–5+ years of hands-on technical SEO and web experience.

- Strong understanding of technical SEO, crawling, indexing and site architecture.

- Experience working with WordPress and/or modern CMS environments.

- Experience with a headless CMS such as Sanity would be highly regarded, but equivalent experience is absolutely relevant.

- Practical knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals.

- Strong Google Search Console and GA4 capability.

- Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog or equivalent.

- Understanding of schema and structured data.

- An interest in how search is changing through AI, AEO and GEO.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take technical work through to deployment.

Because this isn't a maintenance role. You'll be joining while we're changing the architecture, growing the business and building the Digital function. That gives you the chance to help shape how Fido approaches technical SEO, web performance and the rapidly changing world of AI-driven search — rather than simply maintaining somebody else's established playbook.

You'll work closely with our Head of Digital and have genuine visibility of how improvements to the website ultimately affect leads, customers and funded loans. We're ambitious about where Fido is going.
