About Us
Bentleys Queensland is a full-service advisory and accounting firm with 14 Partners and around 200 people across three offices. For over 75 years, we’ve built strong relationships through practical, forward-thinking advice - and we take the same approach with our people.
Our culture is shaped by being Insightful, Authentic, Dynamic and Connected - not just in how we work with clients, but how we support each other day-to-day.
About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Director who thrives on building trusted client relationships and enjoys working closely with SMEs, family businesses and generational clients over the long term.
At Bentleys QLD, our Business Services team partners with clients who value advice, continuity and a genuine understanding of their business, not just year-end compliance. As a trusted adviser, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, becoming their key point of contact and supporting them through every stage of their business journey.
Working closely with our Partners, you will deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services, provide strategic insights, and identify opportunities to help clients achieve their goals. You will take pride in delivering a relationship-led service experience, where understanding the client and their unique circumstances is just as important as technical expertise.
Beyond client management, you will play a key leadership role within the Business Services team, supporting the development of staff, overseeing workflow and productivity, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded leader seeking a genuine pathway to Partnership within a highly regarded Queensland firm.
About You
You are a qualified accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.
You bring substantial experience in public practice and are confident managing complex client needs while maintaining high professional standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- At least 8 years' experience in public practice accounting
- Experience leading and coaching a team
- Solid knowledge and experience with Australian tax
- Proficiency in accounting software and business applications, including Excel, Xero, MYOB and similar platforms
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
