About the role

Brisbane Isuzu is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join our service team in Eagle Farm, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of vehicle servicing and repair. As a Light Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of light vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction and contribute to the reputation of Brisbane Isuzu as a trusted automotive service provider.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and tyre rotations

- Diagnose vehicle mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures

- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake systems

- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and vehicle safety checks to ensure compliance with standards

- Maintain accurate and detailed service records and work documentation

- Follow manufacturer specifications and service procedures for all repair work

- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs

- Keep the workshop area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations

- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment maintenance needs

- Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service

What we're looking for

- Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent recognised certification

- Proven experience as a light vehicle technician or similar automotive repair role

- Strong knowledge of light vehicle systems including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components

- Proficiency with diagnostic tools,



computerised equipment and workshop technology

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and service specifications

- A valid driver's licence and reliable means of transport

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to health and safety practices and compliance standards
