MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKERS WANTED – DAPTO & FAIRY MEADOW

We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our growing Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in Dapto and Fairy Meadow.

The successful applicants will be compassionate, resilient, reliable and experienced in supporting individuals with mental health and complex support needs.

These roles offer ongoing weekly sleepover shifts, with the opportunity to become part of a stable, supportive and dedicated team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to work sleepover shifts is essential
- Australian resident with full working rights
- Experience supporting participants with mental health diagnoses
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Own reliable transport
- Fluent English communication skills

HIGHLY REGARDED EXPERIENCE

Experience supporting participants with

- Self-harm and suicide risk
- Schizophrenia and complex mental health needs
- Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
- Anxiety and emotional regulation
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)




- Medication assistance and medication management support
- Diabetes support and diabetes training
- Meal preparation and nutritional support
- Restrictive Practices and compliance requirements
- Positive Behaviour Support and behaviour support strategies
- Complex mental health support
- Crisis support, risk management and de-escalation
- Person-centred support, while maintaining participant dignity, choice and independence
