Located in southern New South Wales, right near the Murray River, bordering Victoria and the local government areas of Albury, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys and Wagga Wagga. Our offices are located across Culcairn, Henty, Holbrook, and Jindera, all within a short drive of the shores of Lake Hume.

Greater Hume Council operates four Long Day Care Centres across Culcairn, Henty, Holbrook and Walla Walla, along with three Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care services in Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook.

About The Role

Greater Hume Children's Services is seeking enthusiastic, energetic and confident individuals to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care Team.





Whether you are looking for flexible casual work, are studying in the education sector, or are seeking a rewarding role working with children, this could be the perfect prospect for you.

As an OSHC and Vacation Care Educator, you will help create a fun, safe and engaging environment for school-aged children by planning and facilitating activities that support their learning, wellbeing and development. Every day brings something different, from creative arts and crafts and outdoor adventures to games, sports and special holiday activities.

Positions are available at, or across, our Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook services, with flexible work arrangements including:

Before and After School Care

- Choose to work split shifts, morning shifts, afternoon shifts or a combination of both.
- Ideal for those seeking work that fits around family, study or other commitments.

Vacation Care

- Full-day shifts of up to 8 hours during NSW school holiday periods.
- Opportunities for additional hours while delivering exciting holiday programs for children.

Service Operating Hours

Culcairn

- OSHC: 7.15am to 5.45pm during school terms
- Vacation Care: 7.30am to 5.30pm

Henty

- OSHC and Vacation Care: 7.30am to 5.30pm

Holbrook

- OSHC: 6.30am to 6.00pm during school terms
- Vacation Care: 7.30am to 5.30pm

- Display a genuine passion for education, recreation and child wellbeing.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must

- Hold a current Working with Children Check Clearance.
- Hold a current National Police Check (issued within the last six months).
- Hold a current Child Protection Certificate (Council can assist successful applicants to obtain this if required).
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate suitable for working in education and care settings.
