We are seeking an experienced Director, Business Services to join our Brisbane team. This is an influential leadership opportunity for an accomplished accounting professional who is passionate about developing people, building strong client relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of a growing professional services firm.

Working closely with our Partners and leadership team, you will oversee client engagements, drive operational excellence and empower team members to achieve their full potential.

What will your role look like?

As a Director, you will:

- Provide strategic leadership and contribute to Ulton’s long-term goals, growth strategies and operational objectives.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with a portfolio of valued clients.
- Deliver tailored taxation, accounting and business advisory solutions, identify opportunities to add value through tax planning, financial analysis and business strategy.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals while managing team workflow, productivity, performance and development.
- Review complex accounting and taxation work and provide constructive technical guidance.
- Drive business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand Ulton’s services.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across client service and internal operations.
- Monitor industry developments,



regulatory changes and emerging trends.

What we’re looking for

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- A relevant bachelor’s degree and CA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in Australian public practice accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of Australian taxation law, corporations law and trust law.
- Strong experience across taxation, accounting and business advisory services.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and people-management capability.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and providing high-level commercial advice.
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to confidently resolve complex technical matters.
- Experience using accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, Reckon or QuickBooks.
