Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) – RPN3

ANUM Year 1/RPN3 Year 3 - $120,442.40 – ANUM Year 2/RPN3 Year 4 - $124,498.40

Position Purpose

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a frontline nursing leadership role working closely with the Unit Manager to deliver high-quality clinical care, operational leadership and workforce management.

ANUMs are responsible for coordinating shifts, supporting clinical governance, leading nursing teams and contributing to unit culture, quality improvement and service development.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or recognised equivalent)
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Ability to satisfy police and security screening requirements Meet immunisation requirements

Preferred Experience

Minimum Experience

- Typically 3+ years mental health nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years operating at senior clinician, team leader or acting ANUM level

Highly Desirable Experience

- Forensic mental health
- Acute inpatient psychiatry




- Secure mental health services
- Psychiatric intensive care
- Correctional health environments
- Clinical leadership within multidisciplinary clinical teams
