This is a hands-on warehouse position based within an FAK (Freight of All Kinds) import and export depot. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement and storage of freight, as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of containers and general depot operations. The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work, follows safe work practices and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

- Loading and unloading containers, trucks and freight
- Receiving, checking and dispatching incoming and outgoing freight
- Safely handling and moving a variety of general freight
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Container unpacking and packing
- Sorting, staging and storing freight correctly
- Checking freight against paperwork and identifying discrepancies or damage
- Completing warehouse and freight documentation accurately
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and depot
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures





About you

- Previous experience in a warehouse, transport or logistics environment
- Experience working within a freight, container or import/export depot is highly regarded
- Ability to safely load and unload containers and trucks
- Good attention to detail when checking freight and paperworkGood reading and writing skills
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on warehouse work
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
