Casual Logistics Assistant | 2 days per week after initial full-time training | Williamtown, NSW

Casual hourly rate: $35.00 per hour, inclusive of casual loading.

Martin-Baker Australia is seeking a Logistics Assistant to join our Williamtown, NSW facility.

Employment arrangement:

The role will begin on a casual basis.

For the first two weeks, the successful applicant must be available to work Monday to Thursday, from 7:30am to 4:30pm to complete intensive training.

After the training period, the usual work pattern will be two days per week in the Monday to Thursday window.

The position will support the Commercial Officer with:

- Receipting incoming goods and checking them against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Maintaining hazardous substance registers
- Monitoring deliveries and following up delayed or missing shipments
- Preparing packing slips, labels and courier documentation
- Booking freight and couriers
- Coordinating internal movement of goods between sites or departments
- Updating stock, inventory and asset records
- Preparing basic logistics reports and status updates

Flexible pathway: Complete full-time intensive training for the first two weeks,



then work two days per week with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time after 6 months.

Structured training: Develop practical capability in our logistics processes, business systems and administrative procedures with potential growth within the Commercial Department.

Specialist environment: Work within an established aviation safety business and support the Commercial Officer with important logistics activities.

Our operations span Williamtown (NSW), RAAF Base Pearce (WA) and East Sale (VIC).

Key qualifications and skills

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate data entry and recordkeeping.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance.
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn relevant business systems.
- Ability to follow written procedures and complete tasks accurately.
- Robust organisation skills and the ability to coordinate competing priorities.
- A reliable, dedicated approach, with a willingness to learn, ask questions and seek support when needed.

Successful applicants will work in an ISO 9001:2015, AS9110 and DASA Part 145 certified environment.
