About the Role

The Office Staff at The Assumption Catholic Primary School play a crucial role in shaping the first impressions of our school, serving as the initial point of contact for students, parents, and visitors alike. Positioned at the heart of the school’s daily administration activities, this position reports directly to and collaborates closely with the Office Manager and Principal to ensure a welcoming and efficient front office setting.

With responsibilities ranging from managing phone calls and emails, to assisting with administrative and communication tasks and providing support to students and staff, the Front Office Administrator is vital in maintaining an organised and positive atmosphere within the school. Daily tasks include:

- Student Service: Greeting students, parents and community. Supporting queries or directing queries
- Community Contact: Answering phones, directing calls, communication electronically
- First aid: Attending to first aid to students and staff as required emergencies around the school
- School Communication: Compiling Newsletter and Compass Announcement to support clear communication and celebrate school environment
- General administration duties: Support to school staff as required, data entry in Compass, Risk Manager Plus, Page Up.

About You (Selection Criteria)

We are looking for someone who is able to address the following selection criteria:





- Commitment to upholding the school's values and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative school environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and visitors in an inviting and professional manner.
- Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of letters, newsletters, and email correspondence.
- Competency in Google suite (and other relevant software) and ability to maintain digital records, manage school databases, and utilise online communication tools with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day administrative tasks and ability to prioritise tasks, including office duties, record keeping, data entry and general office support.
- Current First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain) and hold a current drivers licence
