The Cattery Assistant will provide daily care of cats, including feeding, cleaning and monitoring health and behaviour and report concerns. Ensures hygiene and welfare standards under supervision.

The role

Duties include preparing food and providing fresh water, cleaning and disinfecting cat enclosures, litter trays and surrounding areas, washing bowls, bedding and undertaking general cattery laundry as required. Providing socialisation, enrichment and interaction with the cats, assisting in basic records and daily information. Safely handling and moving cats in accordance with Friends of the Pound procedures. Assisting with general cattery duties as directed by the Cattery Team Leader/supervisor.
