Bright Star Foods is seeking a Café Lunch Place Worker to join our dynamic team in Toowoomba, QLD. This is a part-time position offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant retail and food service environment. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences whilst supporting the smooth operation of our café lunch services. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexible, part time work in the hospitality and retail sector.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving food and beverages to customers in a prompt and professional manner
- Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments using point-of-sale systems
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic café workspace, including food preparation areas and customer seating
- Restocking supplies and ensuring adequate inventory of food, beverages and consumables throughout service periods
- Supporting colleagues during busy lunch service periods to ensure efficient operations
- Following food safety and health and hygiene protocols at all times
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under the direction of senior kitchen staff
- Engaging with customers in a friendly and courteous manner to enhance their dining experience

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in a café, restaurant or retail food service workplace is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for providing excellent service
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment during lunch rush periods




- Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to scheduling
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Basic food hygiene knowledge or willingness to complete food safety training
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle food preparation tasks
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
