At Alpine Nurseries , we are looking for an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our Production Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a trade, gain a nationally recognised qualification and build a long-term career in the horticulture industry.

What you'll be doing

As a Production Nursery Apprentice, you will learn all aspects of growing and caring for plants while working alongside experienced horticulturists. You will complete a Certificate III in Production Nursery , combining TAFE study with practical, hands-on learning in the workplace.

You will gain experience in areas including:

Plant care and maintenance

Potting and production

Pruning and plant training

Pest and disease monitoring





Irrigation and watering

Weed control and plant presentation

Nursery machinery and equipment

Workplace health and safety

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys being outdoors and working in an active environment

Has an interest in plants, green life, agriculture or the environment

Is energetic and enjoys physical, hands-on work

Is smart, curious and enjoys learning how things work

Prefers learning by doing rather than sitting behind a desk all day

Has a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn

Takes pride in their work and gives their best effort

Can work well as part of a team

Is reliable, motivated and keen to build a career

Is willing and able to attend TAFE as part of their apprenticeship

Can safely undertake the physical requirements of the role, including regular lifting, pushing and pulling

Holds a current driver's licence, or is working towards obtaining one
