The role of the Business Services Officer Trainee presents an exciting career opportunity to be part of a team of experienced professionals. Reporting to the Senior Business Services Officer, you will work closely with all departments to provide a centralised support network for administrative tasks. Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you will receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business qualification.

This is a 12 month full-time position working Monday to Friday at the Callide Mine near Biloela and requires the successful applicant to reside in the Biloela district.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting and welcoming all visitors, suppliers and guests to Batchfire in a professional and friendly manner
- Day to day administrative tasks such as accommodation and travel bookings, document management and invoice reconciliation
- Managing incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence and responding promptly and efficiently
- General office duties such as filing and data entry, and coordinating meetings and office events
- Maintaining a positive, supportive and team-oriented workplace culture

About you

- Multitasking abilities, with a focus on accuracy and independent work




- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Hold strong interpersonal skills with a excellent personality
- Be punctual, highly motivated and reliable
- Model professional behaviour at all times with a positive attitude and willingness to assist

About us

Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km southwest of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela. The mine has operated since 1944 producing coal primarily for domestic power generation, alumina refining and export markets. Under the ownership of Batchfire Resources (October 2016), the business has an exciting journey ahead.
