Ipswich High School is a vibrant day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-18, set in an idyllic 87-acre campus in Woolverstone on the banks of the River Orwell, just four miles outside Ipswich. With approximately 520 pupils, we are a small school with amazing facilities, which include a theatre, indoor 25 metre swimming pool, dance studio, dedicated food and design technology area, multiple outdoor sports facilities, fitness suite and a Sixth Form suite based in Woolverstone Hall. We have small classes of hard-working pupils and inspirational teachers who help to instil a love of learning, the results of which are exceptional academic outcomes year on year.

Role Description
Are you passionate about supporting children in achieving their full potential?
Ipswich High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to deliver targeted interventions with small groups of pupils, or, on an individual basis.
Candidates should possess a good standard of education, initiative and an ability to communicate well with both teaching staff and pupils. A positive level of English, Maths and ICT is essential, as is a caring and patient nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with complex needs across a range of subjects
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Provide pastoral support and contribute to pupil’s wellbeing
- Assist with supervision duties and wider school activities where required
