Groundstone is looking for an experienced Barista / Front of House team member to join our team.

We’re a busy daytime café in the heart of Orange and are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be working across both coffee and general front-of-house service, so we’re after someone who is happy to jump in wherever needed and work as part of the wider team.

About the role

Groundstone is looking for an experienced Barista / Front of House team member to join our team.

We’re a busy daytime café in the heart of Orange and are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be working across both coffee and general front-of-house service, so we’re after someone who is happy to jump in wherever needed and work as part of the wider team.

What you’ll be doing

- Making consistently outstanding coffee and other hot and cold drinks
- Taking orders and looking after our customers
- Using our POS system and processing payments
- Running food, clearing tables and keeping the floor moving during service
- Keeping the coffee station, counter and front-of-house areas clean, stocked and organised
- Opening and closing duties where required




- Restocking and keeping on top of supplies throughout the day
- Working closely with the kitchen to keep service running smoothly
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements
- Pitching in with the rest of the team – we’re a café, so everyone helps where they can!

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Previous barista and café experience
- Confidence working on a coffee machine during busy service

- A friendly and natural approach to customer service
- The ability to work quickly while still paying attention to the details
- Reliability and good communication
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and take initiative
- Availability across weekdays and weekends

We’re less concerned about formal barista qualifications and more interested in your practical experience, attitude and how you work as part of a team.
