Landscape tradesperson, 4th year apprentice

Moonscapes Prestige is seeking a talented Landscape tradesperson or 4th year apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis in Picton, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your career or complete your apprenticeship with a respected landscaping company whilst gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of both commercial and residential landscape design, construction and maintenance. This role is integral to our operations, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to projects whilst continuing your professional development under the mentorship of experienced tradespeople.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting in the design, planning and execution of landscape projects from conception through to completion
- Preparing and maintaining landscaping sites, including site clearance, soil preparation and ground levelling
- Installing landscape features such as pathways, garden beds, retaining walls, irrigation systems and hardscaping elements
- Operating landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including earthmoving machinery, power and hand tools
- Planting trees, shrubs, groundcovers and seasonal plantings in accordance with landscape designs and best practices
- Performing landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, mulching and garden care
- Assisting with landscape measurements, marking out areas and ensuring projects meet design specifications
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment on site
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of work practices and safety protocols

What we're looking for

- Fully qualified or progressing through a landscape apprenticeship, with completion of at least 3 years of your apprenticeship
- Demonstrated knowledge of landscaping techniques,



plant species and landscape design principles
- Proficiency in the safe operation of landscaping machinery and hand tools
- A strong understanding of health and safety requirements in the landscaping industry, with a commitment to safe work practices
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Reliability and punctuality
- A current driver's licence is highly desirable
- Any relevant certifications or qualifications in landscape construction, horticulture or related fields are advantageous
