ACT HTS Social Research Face-to-face Interviewer

Ipsos , Australia's leading Social Research company, is conducting the ACT & Queanbeyan Household Travel Survey (ACT HTS)

To make the ACT HTS project a success, we are looking for committed casual field interviewers to join our team. Work starts 1st week of August and runs Saturday - Sunday until mid-November .

In this role, you will undertake the recruitment of selected households for the ACT HTS research study. To ensure the success of the project, you will play a vital role in the completion of travel surveys around the ACT and Queanbeyan.

This study runs every 3-4 years and is a key resource in ACT's transport policy and infrastructure planning and development.

Paid training will be provided , and there is potential for high achievers to be trained in supervisory positions.

Requirements

- Be available to work Saturday AND Sunday at minimum . Additional days may be available.
- Have a mobile phone, a current driver's licence, and the right to work in Australia




- Be confident and comfortable approaching households to introduce the survey
- Be fluent in English and have positive communication skills
- Be well-presented, reliable, and have excellent attention to detail.
- Have access to a reliable vehicle and enjoy driving
- Sales, Field, or Census interviewing experience would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided.

$38.43 per hour for fieldwork with an increase in line with FWC Annual wage case in July 2026

Kilometres travelled paid at $0.98 per km.

Fully paid training

Approximately 18 hours per week (this may vary from week to week).
