We’re looking for confident, driven people to join our growing Happy Travels team in beautiful Byron Bay.

This isn’t a sit-back-and-wait-for-the-phone-to-ring kind of role. It’s fast-paced, social, energetic and hands-on.

You’ll be speaking with travellers from around the world, jumping on red-hot inbound enquiries, booking appointments, building relationships and turning travel conversations into unforgettable trips.

One day you could be planning an epic East Coast Australia adventure, combining campervan road trips with Whitsundays sailing, K’gari camping and bucket-list activities.

The next, you could be helping someone escape to a tropical island in Fiji, road trip around New Zealand, explore Hobbiton or plan their next adventure further abroad.

And yes, you get rewarded for selling it.

Retail Sales

Love meeting people?

You’ll be face-to-face with travellers, building rapport, creating excitement, understanding what they want from their trip and turning conversations into bookings.

Online Sales

Strong on the phone and online?

You’ll manage high-intent inbound leads across phone, webchat and messaging, build your sales pipeline, follow up opportunities and close deals.

Either way, this is a sales role and we’re looking for people who genuinely want to perform.

Travel experience is highly regarded, but not essential.

Backpacked the East Coast? Travelled Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Asia or beyond? Even better. First‑hand travel experience helps you connect with our customers and sell from experience.

Speak another language? We want to hear about it. Additional languages are a big advantage when working with travellers from around the world.

We can teach you our destinations, products and booking systems.

THE DETAILS

Location: Byron Bay, on-site
Hours: Approx. 25–38 hours per week
Roster: 7-day operation, including weekends and Public Holidays
Opportunities: Retail & Online Sales
Employment: Casual, with permanent opportunities for top performers
Working Rights: Australian working rights required

Hourly rates vary depending on rostered days and applicable penalty rates, with additional performance incentives available.
