We know that meaningful communication helps build trust, engagement and a sense of belonging for our people and customers. We're seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join our People and Transformation team.
Reporting to the Group Manager Marketing, Brand & Culture, you'll play a key role in shaping strategic communications that support Bethanie's organisational priorities, strengthen our culture, enhance customer experience and protect our reputation.
This is a unique opportunity for a communications qualified who enjoys working at both a strategic and operational level, partnering with leaders across the business to deliver communications that drive understanding, engagement and action.
- Permanent full-time employment, based at our West Perth office
- Flexible working arrangements available, including the opportunity to work from home. We work a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
The role
You'll be responsible for developing and delivering communication strategies that align with Bethanie's strategic objectives while strengthening engagement across employees, customers and stakeholders.
Working closely with executives, operational leaders and subject matter experts, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that support organisational priorities, transformation initiatives and business objectives.
- Partner with executives and senior leaders to create compelling communications, presentations, speeches and leadership messaging.
- Lead internal communication initiatives that build connection, trust, engagement and alignment across the organisation.
- Develop customer-focused communications that enhance customer experience, strengthen brand reputation and support community engagement.
- Monitor and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns and make data-driven recommendations forimprovement.
You’ll also coordinate media relations and reputation management, helping ensure Bethanie responds confidently and consistently in a rapidly changing environment.
About You
You are a strategic communications professional who can transform complex information into meaningful stories and messages that connect with diverse audiences.
You balance big-picture thinking with a hands-on approach and are comfortable working across multiple priorities while building strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Relevant qualifications in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline, or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in communications or corporate affairs teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Experience developing communication plans, creating engaging content and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of digital, social and emerging communication channels.
- The ability to navigate sensitive issues with sound judgement and professionalism.
