About the role:

Are you passionate about improving the aged care sector through innovation, data, and digital transformation? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced InnovAGEING Project Manager –Digital and Data to lead the delivery of innovative projects that uplift sector capability and capacity. This role is central to driving our InnovAGEING initiative, aligning with our mission to support a trusted, continuously improving aged care sector.

Working collaboratively across internal teams and with external partners, you’ll manage transformative digital and data-driven projects that directly impact the future of aged care in Australia. This is a fixed-term contract position until 31/12/2025.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of digital, data and innovation projects—from inception to delivery—ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Actively identify new opportunities to support sector transformation. Prepare project proposals, scope documents, budgets, and business cases in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project and implementation plans with clear timelines, deliverables, risk management strategies, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.




- Engage with stakeholders across the aged care sector to uncover challenges and co-design solutions.
- Conduct journey mapping and data analysis to identify trends and areas of opportunity within the aged care sector. Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable strategies and solutions
- Pilot and evaluate sector-wide innovation initiatives and digital strategies.
- Prepare high-quality reports, case studies, and presentations to communicate outcomes to stakeholders and funding bodies.
- Contribute to building sector-wide digital literacy and innovation maturity by developing resources, toolkits, training content, and engagement materials.
- Stay current with emerging trends in digital technology and data for aged care.
- Uphold Ageing Australia’s values and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated project management experience, particularly within data or digital transformation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management and data analysis tools/software.
- Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- A commitment to Ageing Australia’s values and a genuine passion for innovation in aged care.
