This role is responsible for leading OPC’s people strategy and team to ensure the organisation attracts, develops, engages and retains a high-performing workforce capable of delivering our legislative and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- You will have experience of effectively working with relevant legislation, policy and procedures, and an ability to find and deliver cutting-edge solutions within the people management function.
- proven track record of delivering programs and initiatives, particularly in the areas for which the position is responsible.
- Lead the People Team, and the delivery of comprehensive, contemporary and compliant human resource management practices, ensuring OPC meets its obligations under relevant legislation and APS-wide employment policies and frameworks.
- Support the executive to manage key people matters, including wellbeing, safety,
engagement, capability, attraction and retention, ensuring opportunities are leveraged and risks managed.
What you need
- The ideal candidate will bring experience of leadership in human resources and a strategic focus, combined with an ability to successfully deliver agency wide programs.
- Your capabilities will include planning, prioritisation and people management, along with influential communication and a proven ability to manage a range of urgent priorities and complex matters.
- demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of workplace strategies and provision of high level advice on human resources matters.
