We are looking for an experienced .NET Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering secure, scalable and resilient cloud solutions.
In this role, you will design, build and support modern backend services using Microsoft Azure, contemporary engineering practices, automation and AI-assisted development tools. You will contribute to technical decisions, software quality and reliable delivery throughout the application lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable backend services using .NET and C#, contributing to reliable business and technology outcomes.
- Build REST application programming interfaces, independently deployable microservices and event-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical design, data modelling and engineering standards.
- Own services throughout development, testing, deployment, monitoring, production support and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery professionals to improve automation, testing, observability, security and software quality.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Strong backend development capability using .NET, C# and ASP.NET Core, supported by (confirm number) years in relevant professional roles.
- Proven ability to design, develop and support secure REST application programming interfaces, microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Cosmos DB, messaging technologies and relational databases such as SQL Server.
- Ability to deploy containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes, supported by continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing practices.
- Practical knowledge of secure engineering and production observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, telemetry, dashboards and alerts.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Working knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, App Service, Key Vault, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Azure Storage.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of Redis, Entity Framework Core, OpenAPI, Swagger, OpenTelemetry or Serilog.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, WireMock, SonarQube, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to apply AI-assisted tools responsibly across the software development lifecycle, including validating AI-generated code.
