In this role, you'll:

Join the P&C; Business Partnering team supporting the Engineering & Maintenance branch within Sydney Trains, working across a workforce of approximately 4,200 employees. As an experienced People & Culture Advisor, you’ll collaborate within a team of 12 P&C; professionals, providing support to senior P&C; Managers across a range of activities.

You’ll play a key role partnering with the business to support case management and grievance resolution within a highly industrialised environment, while also responding to business requests such as policy and procedure enquiries and talent-related matters. In addition, you’ll contribute to the delivery of the People Plan and support broader P&C; initiatives across the business.

This is a fixed-term opportunity through to August 2029, offering a hybrid way of working and flexibility in location. While your primary office location will be Burwood, this role requires regular travel across various Sydney Metro maintenance centres and depots to effectively support operational and business needs.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience working within an operational, highly industrialised workplace.
- Solid experience in case management, including managing complex employee relations matters and grievance resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and interpret HR policies and procedures.




- Strong capability to understand business needs and translate them into practical people and operational outcomes.
- Experience working in a unionised environment.
- The ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and respond effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence and guide conversations.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders.
