Are you an experienced procurement and supply chain leader with a passion for building robust supplier partnerships, optimising inventory performance, and driving commercial outcomes? DiGiCOR, a leading provider of enterprise IT infrastructure solutions, is seeking a talented Purchasing Manager to lead our Purchasing Department and help shape the future growth of our procurement and supply chain capabilities.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations. This is more than a purchasing role. You will play a key role in influencing stock investment decisions, managing strategic vendor relationships, mitigating supply chain risks, and driving innovation through data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled procurement practices.

Key duties and responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management

- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with DiGiCOR's growth objectives.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing reviews, rebates, and supplier agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers.
- Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve competitiveness and reduce risk.
- Evaluate supplier performance and establish supplier scorecards covering delivery, pricing, quality, responsiveness, and service levels.
- Authorise procurement decisions and purchasing approvals.

Inventory Planning & Demand Forecasting

- Develop purchasing plans and stock forecasts based on sales trends and business projections.
- Set and maintain minimum stock levels, buffer stock requirements, and replenishment strategies.
- Monitor inventory performance and optimise stock holdings to maximise availability while reducing excess stock.
- Identify slow-moving inventory and implement proactive clearance strategies.
- Conduct regular inventory reviews and recommend purchasing adjustments.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing movements, industry trends, and supply chain developments.
- Analyse procurement and inventory data to identify opportunities, risks, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve purchasing performance and profitability.
- Support product and vendor selection decisions with internal stakeholders.
- Assess and manage supply chain risks, including supplier dependency, market volatility, geopolitical issues, and business continuity concerns.




- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Support Modern Slavery compliance and ethical procurement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier ethics, labour practices, and sustainability assessments.
- Promote procurement practices consistent with company policies and compliance requirements.

Innovation, Technology & Process Improvement

- Support implementation of procurement technologies, automation initiatives, and best practices.
- Leverage advanced data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and purchasing efficiency.
- Assist with the integration of AI and Machine Learning tools to streamline procurement operations and decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop purchasing team members.
- Establish performance standards and monitor departmental KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Warehouse, and Technical teams.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure procurement activities align with company-wide objectives.

Qualifications of Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, or Logistics.
- Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience within the IT, ICT, technology hardware, systems integration, electronics, or technology distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, servers, storage, networking products, vendor ecosystems, technology lifecycles, and supply chain practices within the ICT sector.
- Experience managing international suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and vendor relationships.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
- Advanced analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience using ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in ICT distribution, system integration, or enterprise technology environments.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced procurement analytics.
- Knowledge of Modern Slavery compliance, ESG requirements, and ethical sourcing frameworks.
- Understanding of ISO-based quality, risk, and information security management systems.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:

- Develop and execute effective purchasing and supply chain strategies that support business objectives.




- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers while ensuring consistent service and commercial performance.
- Improve stock planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes to support customer demand.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and supplier diversification.
- Drive cost optimisation and commercial value through effective procurement practices and negotiations.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance, service levels, and contractual compliance.
- Reduce inventory exposure through effective management of slow-moving and end-of-life products.

At DiGiCOR, our Purchasing Department is responsible for sourcing and procuring enterprise technology products to support customer projects and business operations across Australia. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and leading technology vendors and distributors, the team manages supplier relationships, inventory planning, stock forecasting, purchasing activities, and supply chain performance across servers, storage, networking, workstations, AI infrastructure, software, and data centre technologies.

As Purchasing Manager , you will play a key leadership role in developing a high-performing and accountable purchasing team while driving continuous improvement across procurement, supplier management, and inventory planning. Beyond day-to-day purchasing operations, you will be responsible for strengthening strategic supplier partnerships, improving forecasting and stock management practices, reducing supply chain risks, and supporting business growth through effective procurement strategies and commercial decision-making.

- AI & GPU Infrastructure: Accelerated computing and AI-focused technologies.
- Components & Hardware Parts: CPUs, memory, SSDs, GPUs, and supporting infrastructure components.
- Software & Licensing: Operating systems, subscriptions, support, and licensing programs.
- Technology Vendors & Distribution Partners: Supplier relationships, procurement, and vendor performance management.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Operations: Stock forecasting, purchasing planning, replenishment, and inventory lifecycle management.
