Make a meaningful impact across Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care as the Director, Psychology. This is an exciting opportunity to provide professional leadership, strategic direction and clinical governance across Psychology services, while driving service innovation, workforce capability and high-quality outcomes for patients and their families.

About the role:

Reporting to the Subacute Allied Health Director, the Director, Psychology provides high-level professional leadership and strategic direction for Psychology services across the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care. The role is integral to the development and delivery of contemporary, high-quality Psychology services and will contribute to divisional and system-wide priorities. Duties for the role will include:

- Provide professional leadership, governance and strategic direction across Psychology services.
- Lead the development, capability and professional standards of the Psychology workforce.
- Drive service innovation, quality improvement and the ongoing evaluation of Psychology services.
- Provide expert clinical consultation, senior clinical guidance and mentorship to Psychology staff.
- Undertake an allocated clinical caseload and provide operational support across the department as required.
- Build strong partnerships across the Division to optimise quality of life and outcomes for patients,



families and colleagues.

About you:

- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an endorsed area of practice in Clinical and/or Health Psychology, and approved supervisor status at all levels of supervision.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in adult services, with broad clinical experience in the psychological management of adults across rehabilitation, aged or palliative care, particularly older people with neurological and cognitive impairments.
- Strong leadership capability, with the ability to build cohesive, high-performing teams and lead positive change.
- Advanced clinical expertise in evidence-based psychological practice, including skilled supervision and multidisciplinary care.
- Proven ability to develop and improve Psychology services, quality programs and clinical practices, supported by strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving and professional judgement.
