This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated social worker to join the Social Work Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
T his permanent full time team leader position is responsible for the supervision and operational leadership of social workers within its team, as well as facilitating a high standard of social work service to our patients. The team covers the following clinical areas: orthopaedics, plastics, renal, gastroenterology, drug health, liver and haemophilia.
An eList will also be generated and used for the upcoming permanent full time level 4 Critical Care Team Leader. This team includes the Emergency, ICU, neurology/neurosurgery/stroke, respiratory, cardiology and cardiothoracic clinical areas.
You will be part of a large, highly skilled department working with culturally and socially diverse patients and their families. This position also holds a clinical caseload and is required to provide support to other areas within the hospital as needed. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience and ability to identify opportunities and innovatively lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating continuous improvement, evidence based practice and research.
