Employment Lawyer - Head of Practice - 6+ PAE - Parramatta Firm

Our client is a highly regarded boutique corporate/commercial lawfirm in Parramatta.It boasts an outstanding culture and does not measure its lawyers by their billable units - it works with clients on retainer, meaning no time sheets for their lawyers!

The firm offers legal services which are second to none and on par with leading Sydney CBD mid-tier firms.

About the Role

The firm currently has a small employment law team, and it is seeking a senior lawyer to take over and head up the employment law practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate seeking to step up into a practice leadership role or a current leader seeking a current opportunity.

The practice includes a variety of employment law work including:

Advising employers on contracts, policies and workplace compliance;

Working on unfair dismissals, general protections and other employment disputes;

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment contracts and contractor agreements;

Workplace investigations, performance and misconduct issues.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:





6+ years PQE, specifically in employment law, gained from a reputable Australian employment law practice;

Excellent technical legal skills and experience in all aspects of employment law;

Commercial acumen;

Passion for this area of law;

Leadership experience or a genuine desire to lead and grow a team.
