About Our Client

Our client operates a growing group of early learning centres built on a genuine, nature based, child led philosophy, and not just a policy folder. They're looking for a Centre Manager to lead their Armadale centre, someone who believes children deserve the freedom to explore, take risks and learn at their own pace, and who wants to build a centre that feels like part of its community.

The Role

As Centre Manager, you'll take on the Nominated Supervisor role for the service, leading the day-to-day operations, culture, team and community relationships that make a centre thrive. This is a hands‑on leadership role — you'll be just as comfortable getting down on the floor with a toddler as you are reviewing a budget or hosting a regulatory visit.

Key Responsibilities

- Hold Nominated Supervisor responsibilities under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Lead, roster and mentor a team of educators, ensuring qualification and ratio requirements are met at all times
- Maintain and drive the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) against the National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Manage enrolments, occupancy and centre-level budgets and financial performance
- Build genuine, ongoing relationships with families, local schools and community groups
- Own WHS, child safety and regulatory compliance across the service
- Champion the client's philosophy and culture in the everyday life of the centre
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance and professional development for centre staff
- Manage incidents, complaints and liaison with the state regulatory authority

What You'll Bring





- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (a Bachelor of Early Childhood / ECT qualification highly regarded)
- 2–3+ years' experience in early childhood education, including experience in a leadership, 2IC or Centre Manager role
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certificates
- Sound working knowledge of the NQF, NQS, and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- A track record of meeting or exceeding NQS ratings
- Strong people‑leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team
- Confidence managing budgets, occupancy and day‑to‑day business operations

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

- Prior experience as a Nominated Supervisor
- Experience opening, acquiring or transitioning a centre
- A proven ability to support and drive occupancy growth
- Existing relationships within the local community
- Experience with Owna childcare management software
- A genuine passion for nature‑based, child‑led play pedagogy
