In this role, you'll:

- Operate Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes) as an MR Truck Driver for the Bridge Maintenance team based in Bega
- Undertake labouring and manual handling tasks for a variety of bridges and culverts across the district at a sub-trade level when not operating the Truck
- Undertake a range of functions relating to maintaining timber, steel and concrete bridges, including assisting other trades and painting when required
- In addition to the above, the trucks operated by this position may include water tankers and Flocon Trucks (asphalt transport) and operate a HIAB or similar truck mounted crane
- Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
- Be prepared to camp way and travel across the region when required
- Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
- Work a 9 Day Fortnight

About you





We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a secure and injury free workplace for all employees.

Essential Licenses and Tickets:

- White Card
- MR Driver Licence
- Traffic control certifications (Implement Traffic Control/Prepare Work Zone) - Our willing to obtain

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.

You will live within 100km radius of the Bega works depot

Whilst not essential, experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, front end loader and backhoe) is advantageous.
