The role includes involvement in staffing, rostering, recruitment, and performance processes, as well as supporting resource and financial management.
Key responsibilities
- You will use your clinical experience to plan, implement, and evaluate care, while supporting less experienced staff and maintaining accountability for your practice.
- You will take accountability for your practice, guide junior staff, and help ensure consistent, patient-centred care.
- Deliver specialised, evidence-based mental health care for older people across a range of settings.
- Provide high-quality nursing/midwifery care while supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager.
What you need
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
