Sunkids Children's Centres is a family-owned network of 17 early education and care centres across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We are rebuilding our head office operations team around clear ownership: every function has one accountable owner, backed by systems that surface exceptions instead of paperwork.

Our People function has two halves. A Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator brings people into the organisation and supports them through probation. This role is the other half. From the day a team member completes probation, everything about their employment belongs to you.

About the role

You will own the workforce systems and employee lifecycle work across all 17 centres. That means keeping our employment records, systems and processes accurate, current and defensible. You will report to the Head of Operations and work alongside a small, focused head office team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Administering our HRIS (ELMO): position data, forms, approval workflows and reporting, and keeping payroll data (KeyPay) aligned with it.
- Maintaining training and compliance records across all centres: Blue Cards, First Aid, CPR, qualifications and child safety training currency.
- Running the annual performance appraisal cycle and preparing and managing the file for every formal performance process.
- Managing staff grievances from receipt through to documented resolution.
- Providing guidance on industrial relations and employee relations matters, including Award compliance and interpretation.
- Acting as the internal contact for our outsourced WorkCover provider: incidents, claims and return-to-work plans.
- Running staff satisfaction measurement and preparing HR metrics and reporting for the leadership team.

This is a genuine part-time role at 0.6 FTE, about 22 to 24 hours per week, with flexibility on how the days are arranged. It is scoped as three days of real ownership, not a full time job squeezed into part-time hours.

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.




- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and Awards, with hands-on experience in industrial relations and employee relations matters.
- Experience administering an HRIS. ELMO experience is highly regarded.
- The documentation discipline to run a formal process file that would stand up to external scrutiny.
- Strict confidentiality and clear, professional communication.
- Experience in early education and care, or another regulated multi-site environment, is highly regarded.

What we offer

- $85,000 to $95,000 full-time equivalent plus superannuation, pro-rata, depending on experience.
