About the Position

The Service Support Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, security, and lifecycle management of the University's end-user computing environment. The role manages endpoint technologies including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Windows Autopilot, operating system deployment, software deployment, and endpoint security solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient services for staff and students.

The position also provides advanced technical support,



develops and maintains standard operating environments (SOEs), automates operational processes, and contributes technical expertise to projects and service improvements.

About the Person

To be successful in the Service Support Administrator role, candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

- Relevant qualifications and experience : Degree in Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of industry certifications, technical training, and practical experience in endpoint management and support.
- Endpoint management expertise : Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, operating system deployment, software deployment, configuration management, and endpoint administration.
- Endpoint security knowledge : Strong experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, endpoint security technologies, anti-malware, application control, security baselines, attack surface reduction, and least-privilege access management.
- Technical troubleshooting and automation skills : Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex endpoint issues, supported by strong knowledge of Windows networking (DNS, DHCP) and experience developing and deploying PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.
- Customer service and communication skills : Proven ability to provide professional customer-focused support, manage escalated technical issues, communicate effectively with stakeholders,



and work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
- Desirable experience : Experience in a higher education environment, relevant Microsoft certifications, and knowledge of additional endpoint platforms such as macOS, Jamf, iPadOS, and Android.

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $99,108.89 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
