TheRole
Applications are invited fromqualified classroom teachers for a specialist role teaching VCEEconomics/Commerceat our Wheelers Hill Campus. The candidate will be enthusiastic,possess a forward-thinking mindset, and demonstrate aspirationalteaching practices.
This is a full-time permanentposition commencing January 2027. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion forengaging and challenging studentsand for utilising learningtechnologies. This position isfor an educator with expertise in VCE Economics/Commerce.Versatility to draw upon skills and experience teaching another VCECommerce subject will be an advantage.
KeyDuties
- Review and assess students atthe beginning of each program
- Provide a flexible program thatcaters for individual students
- Deliver learning programs thatdemonstrate aresearch-based knowledge of how studentslearn
- Evaluate personal teaching andlearning programs including feedback from students andassessment data to inform planning
- Model high expectations toenable a safe and supportive classroomculture
- Provide reports within schoolstandards and timelines
- Embrace a culture ofcollaboration to enhance studentlearning
- Model and live the CaulfieldGrammar School values andbehaviours
Skills andExperience
- Experience in teaching VCE Economics is essential.Versatility to teach another VCE Commerce subject will be anadvantage.
- Genuine enthusiasm for teachingand commitment to students’ academic and personalgrowth
- Outstanding communication skillsand the ability to effectively and engage with students,colleagues, and parents.
- Committed to ongoingprofessional development, keeping up-to-date with current economic trends anddevelopments , and maintaininga proactive attitude.
- Holds a current VIT Registrationalong with specialised teaching qualifications in Commerce orrelated fields.
