Account Manager & Project Design Coordinator | Arts & Culture
Art Pharmacy is looking for a fast-moving Account Manager & Project Design Coordinator to join our team in Chippendale, NSW. This is a full-time role for someone who thrives on running multiple projects at once, keeping timelines, managing designs and budgets tight, and serving as the main point of contact for clients, artists, and vendors from brief to delivery. You'll be the engine room of what we do: coordinating, problem‑solving, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
We're a small, close-knit team, so this is a great next step for someone looking to move on from a big corporate environment and take on more ownership, more variety, and more direct exposure to how the business actually runs. If you're looking for real growth, not just a job, this is a place to build something.
What you'll be doing
Supporting client relationships and running projects end to end, from brief through to delivery
Managing timelines, understanding budgets and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects
Reading and working from architectural plans to scope and place artwork correctly within a space
Coordinating with artists, art galleries, curators, vendors, printers and external contractors to keep everything on track
Supporting delivery of our event series, including Flourish Women’s Networking and the All About Art series with Ace Hotel Sydney
Getting involved on the ground where needed, site visits, installs and event days
Liaising with clients on feedback and revisions while keeping momentum
Troubleshooting issues on the fly and keeping projects moving without needing to be chased
Taking ideas and turning them into action, not waiting to be told what's next
Working across a diverse range of arts and cultural projects and campaigns
What we're looking for
Solid experience in project coordination or account management, ideally from a fast-paced agency environment
Confident and comfortable being the face of a project, with clients, artists and vendors
Genuine interest in art, architecture and design, curious about the spaces and stories behind the work, not just delivering it
Strong organisational and time-management skills, comfortable juggling multiple live projects
Budget and timeline ownership experience, not just task tracking
Proactive and self-directed, you spot what needs doing and get on with it
Genuine drive and ambition, someone with fire in their belly who wants to grow, not coast
Ability to take an idea and run with it, turning concepts into real outcomes
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve under pressure
Flexible with hours, comfortable with early morning installs and evening events as a normal part of the role, not an exception
Comfortable in a small team, fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
Looking to take the next step in their career and grow with the business
Desirable : Comfortable reading architectural plans and translating them into project scope
Desirable: an eye for design and brand consistency, though this is not a design-first role
Desirable: experience with project management tools and software
This isn't a standard 9 to 5.30 role. You'll occasionally be doing early-morning installs before the workday starts and attending evening events as part of our Flourish and All About Art series. If you want a fixed-hours desk job, this isn't it. If you want variety and don't mind an early start or a late finish when the work calls for it, you'll thrive here. This is every couple of months, with notice.
What we offer
At Art Pharmacy, we offer a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and hands‑on training and mentorship as part of a small team where you'll get real exposure to how the business runs. This is a genuine opportunity to grow beyond a task‑based role and take ownership of projects end to end. You'll work across a broad client base in the arts and culture sector, with the satisfaction of seeing projects through from pitch to install.
