The Sports and Community Infrastructure Branch (SCI) Branch is a team that identifies, understands, plans and responds to community needs with regards to Sports and Recreation Facilities across the City of Logan.
You will assist with tenders & quotations, administer the scope, evaluation, awarding, supervision, inspections and associated administration related to the development and maintenance of community facilities and amenities throughout the city.
Additionally, your role will include:
- Offer technical support, deliver professional advice, and estimate costs associated with the development and upkeep of community facilities.
- Generate documentation for tenders and quotations, overseeing the entire process, including scope definition, evaluation, awarding, supervision, inspections, and relevant administrative tasks related to community facilities' development and maintenance.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and construction activities efficiently.
- Participate in an On-Call Roster for timely responsiveness and support.
You’ll possess
- Proven track record in offering technical support and professional advice, including estimation, to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in overseeing contract implementation for maintenance and minor construction activities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of prevailing work practices in the building and construction industry.
- Expertise in crafting and executing building maintenance service programs, coupled with the ability to handle minor building maintenance tasks.
Highly regarded (although not essential)
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
- Qualifications in Project Management
- Mechanical Services - Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Occupational
- Mechanical Services - Plumbing & Plumbing Occupational
- Building Licence
- Queensland Electrical Licence
- Fire Protection License - Fire Safety Skilled
