About the role

The Crown Solicitor’s Office is creating a talent pool for future Senior Legal Secretary opportunities.

This is an opportunity for experienced legal secretaries and administrative professionals to register their interest in future roles supporting Practice Group Leaders, solicitors and legal support teams within one of the NSW Government’s leading legal service providers.

As a Senior Legal Secretary, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of legal services by coordinating correspondence and incoming legal-service requests, managing diaries and legal files, preparing high-quality documentation, supporting billing processes, and helping to prioritise and allocate work across a busy legal practice group.

Successful applicants may be placed in a talent pool and considered for suitable ongoing or temporary vacancies as they arise, subject to business requirements. Placement in the talent pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.

To learn more about the role, please review the role description.

About you. Our ideal candidate.

- You are committed to excellent customer service and strive to maintain high standards of administration and executive support to the solicitors.
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage the expectations of solicitors.
- You thrive working in an agile and dynamic work environment.

- Experience in leading a small team.

Please note:

You can request adjustments throughout each step of the recruitment process. If you require any adjustments or alternative formats to participate in the process, please contact Margaret Ters, Talent Acquisition Partner on or email to further discuss.

Please note that some Practice Groups at the CSO work on sensitive and potentially confronting matters, such as historical child abuse cases and coronial inquests. We have procedures in place to minimise exposure to such material, as well as thorough training to help employees manage these situations. Furthermore, we provide a strong employee assistance program for counselling and ensure support is available from supervisors and team members.

A recruitment pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles for this role or similar roles that may become available over the next 18 months.
