Partner with clinicians, managers and multiple Cancer Services departments

What you’ll be doing

As Clinical Operations and Support Team Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day administrative operations that keep Cancer Services moving. You’ll combine people leadership, operational expertise and continuous improvement to strengthen the experience of patients and staff alike. Key responsibilities will be to:

- Lead, coach and develop the administration team, including recruitment, onboarding, performance and career development




- Oversee key administrative functions including reception, patient bookings, medical records, billing, correspondence and specialist secretarial support
- Review and improve processes, using your problem-solving skills to create more efficient, consistent and patient-focused ways of working
- Manage operational resources including rostering, invoices and procurement, with experience across systems such as Oracle Financials, HPRM/HPE and electronic rostering platforms
- Support contemporary models of care, including video-consultation services, while partnering with the Operations Manager on broader Cancer Services priorities

Selection Criteria:

- Extensive experience working within administrative functions of a large public hospital (preferred) or other large institution.




- Experience leading a team including staff management, recruitment, onboarding, mentoring and performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of the Medicare Billing rules and experience in leading a team to comply with them.
- Thorough understanding of and demonstrated experience in leading provision of a quality customer service experience.
- Experience in undertaking process improvement work
- Proven organisational skills and time management capability
- Experience with electronic rostering and pay systems
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other corporate applications such as Oracle Financials, HPRM/HPE.
