Trainers & Assessors – Multiple Construction Trades

Fusion College of Technology is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and CRICOS provider located in Parramatta, Sydney. Due to continued growth of construction and trade programs, we are seeking experienced and motivated Construction Trades Trainers and Assessors to join our team. We are particularly interested in qualified tradespeople who have strong, recent industry experience and are passionate about sharing their practical knowledge with the next generation of tradespeople.

Trainers are sought in one or more of the following areas:
- CPC32620 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
- CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining
- MSF30422 Certificate III in Glass and Glazing
- CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering
- CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
- CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry
- CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)

You do not need to be qualified in all of the above trades. Applicants with qualifications and industry experience in one or more areas are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

Deliver engaging classroom and practical training in your trade area

Conduct assessments in accordance with training package and RTO requirements

Demonstrate practical trade skills and safe work practices

Monitor student progress,



attendance and participation

Provide constructive feedback and support to students

Maintain accurate training and assessment records

Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities

Maintain current industry knowledge and professional development

Ensure practical training areas comply with WHS requirements

About you

A relevant Australian trade qualification in the area you will deliver and assess

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent

Robust and recent hands‑on industry experience in your trade

Sound knowledge of current construction practices and WHS requirements

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds

Commitment to maintaining industry and VET professional currency

Previous experience as a VET Trainer and Assessor

Experience working with international students

Current industry licences/tickets relevant to your trade
