full-time role earning $100,894 - $114,476 per year, plus super.

About us

Liquor Control Victoria was established on 1 July 2022 and comprises the independent Victorian Liquor Commission and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

Liquor Control Victoria is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy secure and responsible liquor licenced environments.

What you will do

As Senior licensing supervisor, you will lead staff in the licensing division. You will manage applications and help your team make fair, consistent decisions.

You will:

- guide staff through complex and high-risk liquor licence applications
- manage contested applications and help staff make consistent decisions
- improve clear and efficient work processes across licensing activities
- monitor work data and identify practical ways to improve team performance
- prepare explicit advice, reports and decisions for applicants, industry and senior leaders.

About you

No mandatory qualification is listed for this role. You will need strong experience applying legislation in a regulatory setting.





You should also have:

- strong technical knowledge of liquor laws and licensing processes
- sound judgement when assessing complex applications and risks
- people leadership skills that help others learn and improve
- clear communication skills that help you solve problems and work well with others.
