The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships across Nelson Global Australia's OEM and industrial customer base. The role focuses on revenue growth, customer retention, new business acquisition, program management, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, the Account Manager serves as the primary customer interface and ensures customer requirements are translated into operational success while supporting profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key OEM, industrial, transport, mining, agricultural, and commercial customers
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customer commercial matters
- Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and performance meetings
- Understand customer strategies, future programs, and business requirements
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing and target accounts
- Develop account growth plans and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Manage customer projects from quotation through production launch and ongoing supply




- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial negotiations
- Lead customer communications regarding delivery, quality, and service issues

About you

- 5+ years' experience in Account Management, Business Development, or Technical Sales
- Experience within manufacturing, automotive, heavy vehicle, industrial equipment, or engineering sectors
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers at all levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent industry experience
